How to Locate a Skills Session, Parts 2 & 3, Using “Find a Course”


Students who have completed Online Part 1 of their course can use the Find a Course tool to locate a Hands-on Skills Sessions conducted by a Training Center or Instructor in their area.

To search for a scheduled Skills Session, follow these steps:

  1. Click the Find a Course link
  2. Click CLASSROOM button
  3. Enter your ZIP code or state
  4. Select the mileage radius for your search
  5. Check the box labeled View Scheduled Classes
  6. Enter your Class Start Date and Class End Date criteria
  7. Click the Submit button
  8. Select the course you need (course will contain the words Skills Session)
  9. Click the Submit button

A list of scheduled skills sessions will then display. They will display randomly, but can be sorted by mileage, Training Center name, city, or class start date.



To find a list of Training Centers near you offering skills sessions, follow these steps:

  1. Click the Find a Course link
  2. Click the CLASSROOM button
  3. Enter your ZIP code or state
  4. Select the mileage radius for your search
  5. Uncheck the box labeled View Scheduled classes
  6. Click the Submit button
  7. Select the course you need (course will contain the words Skills Session)
  8. Click the Submit button
A list of scheduled Training Centers offering the type of skills session you selected will then display. Training Centers are displayed randomly but can be sorted by mileage, Training Center name, or city.



The Find a Course tool is provided for your convenience in locating classes and skills sessions. Training Centers are not owned or operated by the American Heart Association. Each Training Center will manage and resolve any disputes, complaints, or problems that arise from a class or skills session offered by the Training Center. The AHA is not responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Training Center or its business practices and will not become involved in the resolution of any disputes, complaints, or problems arising from classes or skills sessions.
